My mom died ten years ago today.

She loved Christmas

You have my condolances. I've learned that two other friends of mine lost parents on or near Christmas years ago. And then there are the two friends of my mom's who both lost their moms last week. I can understand why you wouldn't celebrate the holiday after that. I'm having a hard time without my grandmother around, whose home we would all stay at for many years as I was growing up. It'll never be the same. But I guess that's what happens as we age. Our families change & so do our traditions.

Actually I hated Christmas before she died, as did my dad sister and brother. That's why she died on christmas. It forced us to get together on that day
